Exfoliating Glove FAQ

How do I use my exfoliating glove?

STEP 1: SOAK

  • Take a hot steamy shower or a bath for 10-15 minutes to soften your skin. The longer you soak, the better your results will be.
  • Wet your glove, squeeze out the excess water and move away from the water. Make sure your skin remains slightly damp.

STEP 2: EXFOLIATE

  • Scrub your body using back and forth motions. You may need to use some pressure here! For best results, apply pressure with the palm of your hands
  • Do not apply any soap or shower gel since the glove relies on friction to remove dead skin and other impurities.
  • Redness is normal due to increased blood circulation especially after a steamy shower/bath. Don't worry, it will go away after a few minutes.
  • Avoid scrubbing on open cuts, sunburns, inflamed areas and active breakouts. Use light pressure on more sensitive areas.

STEP 3: RINSE

  • Rinse your body
  • Moisturize to lock in that hydration and there we have it, beautiful, smooth glowing skin.
  • Hand wash your glove with natural soap and hang to air dry.

What makes your exfoliating glove different?

Although exfoliating regularly does wonders for your skin, all skin lovers know we shouldn’t do this on the daily.

That’s why we’ve designed a unique dual-sided glove to suit your every day practical life.

One side is designed for deep exfoliation. Here, we’ve used high quality and tightly weaved fibres so that our gloves can be gentle on your skin while effectively targeting dead skin cells and built up impurities to reveal smooth, glowing skin in minutes.

The other side is dubbed our ‘daily side’. This side is made from ramie, a natural fiber known for its antibacterial and strength properties, providing the perfect amount of abrasion to maintain healthy, clean skin in between your exfoliating sessions.

How do I wash my exfoliating glove?

For best results, rinse your glove with some soap and warm water after each use and using the hanging loop, hang your glove to air dry.

How often should I use my exfoliating glove?

Since the ‘deep exfoliation’ side of the glove really delivers its name… we recommend using it only once every 1.5-3 weeks. We all know we shouldn’t overexfoliate right! ;)

Fret not, our ‘daily side’ of the glove is designed to be used everyday! This keeps your skin clean and fresh in between exfoliating sessions.

How often should I replace my exfoliating glove?

As our exfoliating glove is a personal hygiene product, we recommend replacing your glove every 2-3 months.

This only ensures the glove fibers are in tiptop condition for effective deep exfoliating everyday,

If you want your glove to last longer, make sure to wash it with warm water and natural soap after each use, and hang to air dry. Do not machine wash.

My skin isn't visibly peeling, what can I do?

Here are some things you can try if you are not seeing visible peeling:

  • Make sure you take a hot bath or shower for at least 10-15 minutes. In order for the glove to catch on to your dead skin cells, you need to soften your skin. The longer you soak, the softer your skin will be, the better your results will be.
  • Squeeze out the excess water from your glove before using it. The glove should be damp, not soaked with water.
  • Turn off the water/move away from any running water while scrubbing.
  • Do not use any soap, shower gel or body scrub before and while scrubbing.
  • Scrub on damp skin, not dry or wet skin. Remember it may take a few swipes before your skin begins to peel.
  • Wait atleast a week before exfoliating again.
  • Finally, remember that visible peeling depends on skin type. Dry skin tends to peel more than oily skin. Your skin will be exfoliated regardless of peeling. Many of our customers who don't visibly peel have still noticed improvement in their skin with consistent use!
